VIENNA'S CAFÉ in Bogenhausen

VIENNA'S CAFÉ in Bogenhausen

Wiener's Café- The Wiener's in the Ismaninger Straße in Bogenhausen is a very hidden restaurant or café with plenty of outdoor seating and a huge patio with Rathan furniture, partly with sunlight. We discovered this by chance once, when we were traveling in Bogenhausen - but had already eaten and therefore were full. From the outside, the café looks rather inconspicuous and if it were not for the yellow awning with the "Wiener's" lettering on the building, we probably would not have noticed it. When we had an appetite a few days later, the cafe came back and we sat in the car and drove to. Parking is not always easy in this area - not far from the Feinkost Käfer or the famous South Indian restaurant Kerala.

Positive at the Wiener's Café is the somewhat remote and thus quiet location, the efforted service at our table, as well as the appealing, served food - with us there were two different breakfasts. Less great the incredibly loud and with the best of intentions not to be heard service behind the counter, which was over missing glasses, wrongly granted plates, not in the correct mixing ratios mixed drinks, colleagues and all kinds of loud excited. Certainly, this was also the case, because we were the only guests in the café with two or three other groups in the cozy café with about 15 different sized tables and table groups.

Many sat outside on the terrace and enjoyed the last rays of sunshine. The lady was definitely too loud and some people looked a bit confused, because the behavior also did not really fit the ambience of the restaurant or café. When we paid our friendly waiter, we also talked about it, he just laughed and said: "Yes, that's always the case." And then at least hinted to his forlorn colleague that he was a little calmer. I am certainly not sensitive when it gets louder, but that was not fine anymore. Certainly, this was not a "permanent state" and is therefore not constant as a negative point for the otherwise very nice restaurant or cafe to look at - negative, it was still on.

During our visit, we called before in any case by phone and reserved a table. The gentleman on the phone was extremely friendly and took a lot of time to make my reservation. He then turned out to be our waiter (mentioned above) during our visit and brought us the menus directly after sitting down at one of the comfortable two-table tables along the window front. I have photographed some excerpts from the map so you can get an overview of the rich offer. We paced back and forth for a while, but were sure we wanted breakfast.

The range of breakfasts offered is no reason for criticism, there are a variety of breakfast variations available. My companion and I decided once for the breakfast "Kahlenberg" for 12,90 € and for the breakfast "Kärrner ring" for 10,80 €. For this we ordered a Coke Light (0,25l for 2,90 €) and a Viennese Melange (for 3,30 €), which tasted excellent. Also the two breakfasts were very delicious, visually gorgeous presented and technically hardly to beat. Big criticism: We waited almost an hour on it, although neither on the terrace nor outside even a little bit was going on. Even if you add a little "Viennese coziness", that has been too long.

How long would we have waited until the restaurant and the terrace were fully occupied? 90 €) and a Viennese melange (for 3,30 €), which tasted excellent. You can look at the pictures of the ordered dishes and I will certainly agree: Wonderfully done and what the optics promised was also fulfilled in terms of taste. We barely made it and the bread was fresh and tasty. At each of the breakfasts there was a small glass of fish-pressed orange juice - this was really fresh pressed - not always common. Otherwise, there was nothing to complain about. Next to us sat an elderly couple who had ordered a dessert and a main course. The older man opted for a Sauerbraten, but instead of the dumplings preferred potatoes and the lady wanted pancakes with a lot of vanilla ice cream and no cream. I got that, because it was very quiet except for the gabble of the waitress.😉So had not worked so well. The waiter was very friendly and tried very hard that all were satisfied, but it was not so good for him during our visit.

We paid € 32 with tips after eating our dishes and would - despite the wait and the chaotic service behind the bar - come back, as the ambience is right and the food was really fine. I definitely recommend a visit, if you bring your time, a restaurant or café with a relaxed atmosphere for you and your friends or family looking for and the typical Bogenhauser audience can win something. For example, a "very self-confident" type with sunglasses, tanned and loud organ came running from the terrace and wanted to attract attention at all costs and show that he is more often based here.😉All in all, I liked it but I was quite satisfied. The restaurant is definitely a nice spot Munich to sit, ratchets, food and relax. If you are looking for a place to work with your laptop this is also possible with the free Wi-Fi. Card payment is also possible. At the food there was nothing wrong with us and also ordered at the next table - albeit wrong served - mains looked very delicious.

I'll be back:  Despite loud staff and a long wait in any case. A very quiet, inviting cafe with great food.
