The Catwalk in Bogenhausen is a relatively well-known restaurant in Munich - located directly on the Isar in the Mauerkircherstraße. We recently decided to have breakfast there relatively spontaneously, as I knew this restaurant on the one hand and had already dined there several times and because we had a coupon which offered free of charge when ordering two breakfasts (one of the cheaper ones) ,
So I called before and booked a table for 12:30 at the weekend for myself and my company. The reservation was no problem despite weekend. We drove there, found a parking space right at the corner of the restaurant and entered. If you do not have a vehicle, you can take bus line 54 or tram line 18 quickly.
A friendly gentleman, who stood behind the bar before came directly to us and spoke to us. When I passed my reservation this was trying to find our empty table with a place name card. When this was done, we took a seat at one of the small simple dark wood double tables by the window with very basic chairs and were promptly presented with the menus by a friendly waitress. On each of the tables a simple vase with rose is placed. Otherwise, the restaurant is relatively simple and equipped with little decoration elements or additional "revaluators". Our focus was as mentioned on this day the breakfast, there are seven different to choose from, priced between 6.20 € and 12.90 €.
We chose breakfast number 2 for 7.80 € (three scrambled eggs with fresh mushrooms and herbs, homemade herb quark, three pieces of tomato bruschetta, butter and bread basket) and breakfast number 9 for 12,90 € (smoked salmon, shrimp cocktail, smoked trout fillet, two Eggs in a glass or two fried eggs or two scrambled eggs, butter bread basket, a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice or Prosecco). My companion opted for scrambled eggs and a freshly squeezed orange juice.
The bread from the generously stocked bread basket tasted good and fresh. There was dark and white bread. The orange juice of my company seemed a bit strange in color in the glass, but tasted very fresh and delicious. Otherwise, the two breakfasts were delicious. The scrambled eggs had the right consistency, in combination with the mushrooms it tasted even better. Also, the tomato bruschetta was delicious and the way Bruschetta is imagined - I've got wild creations from my nose.
I had plastered my dish relatively quickly, drank my Cola Light (there was only Pepsi Light, but I was told when ordering), and ordered a Chai Tea Latte, which was also delicious. Also the ordered cappuccino of my company corresponded to our idea and was not only foamed milk - often the case. The breakfast with the salmon is certainly not for warm shower in the morning. Our service was very friendly and our breakfast was served very quickly. There was nothing wrong and we were regularly asked if we would like to order anything. After a quick serving of the empty plates, we also liked to sit a little longer in the small restaurant with about 18-20 tables in the very elongated restaurant, with plenty of natural light, bright walls, as mentioned flowers on the tables, a small bar in the rear area and overall relatively simple interior. In my pictures you can make an impression of the atmosphere.
Overall, it looks a bit cool and it could have been a few more details or the ambience aufbessernde elements in the catwalk could be brought - feel good works anyway. Here you will also find the picture galleryof the catwalk. Also to sit outside in summer very popular and cozy. Numerous tables are set up under large umbrellas outdoors and here is the service on Zack - I sat there already in the summer and let me go well.
If you've overslept the breakfast and you're more like a hot entree, the catwalk will not let you down. Whether tomato cream soup (4,80 €), appetizer plate (9,50 €), roast beef with fried potatoes (12,90 €), spaghetti with zucchini and sheep's cheese (9,20 €) or an Asian vegetable pan (9,40 € or with Black Tiger Prawns for 15,80 €) - the catwalk offers a very good mix of different dishes. The range of hot drinks, teas, ice teas, milkshakes, ice creams, beers, wines and spirits is also noteworthy. It is best to look at this yourself during your visit.
We finally saved € 7.80, that is, the value of my breakfast by the voucher from our coupon book. With tips we paid 24 € for a cappuccino, a Pepsi Light, a chai tea and two breakfasts. Regularly it would have been around 32 ¬ rum, which in my opinion is still perfectly fine. I recommend a visit with a subsequent or previous walk on the beautiful Isar. Have fun and good appetite.
I'll be back: Basically yes. But no, if I'm in a hurry. The food is definitely delicious.
