Café Lotti | Maxvorstadt - The Café Lotti is a small restaurant on the Schleißheimerstraße - not far from the Stiglmaierplatz in Munich and my workplace. That's why I'm always at the Café Lotti for lunch, such as lunch with my dear colleague. I was also having breakfast with my companion and family there. But in turn ...
Immediately after entering, you will feel at home in Café Lotti: pink painted walls with white-painted wooden beam walls over half the ceiling, white simple wooden furniture, a huge glittering chandelier above the tables, floral curtains on the windows and matching napkins on the tables Parquet floors in light brown throughout the premises, almost floor-to-ceiling light windows overlooking the street and benches right in front of the windows, plants in the corner, a gold-framed mirror on the wall, the menu on a blackboard on the walls and many more lovingly coordinated details that spread a very warm, cozy atmosphere.
You like to sit down, like to sit and feel a bit like home in the living room. In addition, two white armchairs with small round tables and coordinated floral cushions also support the cosiness and provide a feel-good atmosphere. On the tables stand on small cards in acrylic holders current offers for teas, cakes, etc .. Baby blue and light pink colored cushions on the benches and chairs and a white wooden shelf integrated into the wall with lovingly coordinated decorative elements complete the picture. Upon entering, the small - also kept white - counter, which also houses the cash register and the small cake rondel, catches the eye, above which another small chandelier with lots of bling bling is attached. Overall, a very round and harmonious design in the Café Lotti.
The Café Lotti does not offer many seats, although the tables are relatively close together, but the restaurant is not larger than about 30 square meters. Approximately Ten differently sized tables - 2 to 10 tables - are set up in the Café Lotti for a quick lunch, as well as a detailed - not quite cheap - breakfast. In summer there are also three to four small tables with small roses in vases on the table, floral napkins and green blankets on the chairs in front of the café. Even from the outside you can hardly go without a look through the large window front to throw inside in the cute cafe.
The menu is relatively manageable. Breakfast is available in the Lotti daily from 10 to 14 o'clock. Here are offered in terms of price and the extent of different breakfasts. For example, for 5.90 euros yogurt with fresh fruits and raspberry sauce, 1 pair of white sausages with pretzel and mustard for 6.80 euros, or for just under 10 euros the vegetarian breakfast with rolls, egg, butter, homemade jam and various cheeses and fruit , The "hungry Lotti" is available for a proud 30 euros. Just like the "Lotti in love". This I also ordered once - say once the hungry and once in love Lotti - at breakfast with four people.
For 60 euros, of course, you can expect pretty much everything a breakfast can offer. We were not disappointed, on the contrary, it was delicious, but overall still too expensive. For extra bread we had to pay and nothing was out of the ordinary: rolls, croissants, soft-boiled eggs, jam, butter, salami, ham, organic cheeses, smoked salmon, tomato mozzarella, fruit, 2 glasses of prosecco and two glasses of orange juice Breakfast hungry lotti and the like plus scrambled eggs, cereal with yogurt and raspberry juice at the in love Lotti.
You can see the breakfast in my photo. As I said: It was delicious, but not worth its money, or I would have expected a little more for a total of 85 euros - we still cappuccino and a coke light and water and then a cake. In addition, the waitress - at the same time the owner - something, yeah we say "distressed-irritated" came over, which in my opinion in such a small café, even if it runs well, can not be. I would not have to eat breakfast again - maybe again to try a smaller breakfast. Extras for breakfast can be ordered from 1 to 5.20 euros - from a roll to scrambled eggs with smoked salmon.
Lunch menus are available until 2pm and from Monday to Friday also 2 Euro discount on each dish. There are ham noodles, Putengeschnetzeltes, bread dumplings (home-made), spinach dumplings, cheese noodles, a large salad with bread dumplings and another salad. The main courses cost every eight or nine euros still something. As a snack, there are still homemade pancakes depending on the side dish from 4.50 euros to 7.20 euros or even Reiberdatschi or rolls with various toppings. There is also a weekly changing soup. I have already eaten the Kässpatzen twice - very delicious and from the portion also in order. Not typical Bavarian sparrows, rather elongated spaetzle, which is otherwise served with gravy and meat, but still very delicious, served in very simple, white dishes.
Today the service was a bit rough. Although all tables were occupied at lunchtime and the lady stressed out, the menu "throw in" does not have to be. The order and payment was then a bit friendlier. I drank a delicious Chai Tea with vanilla flavor, my colleague ate the Kässpatzen and drank a juice spritzer - we paid with tips 15 euros. Surely I would come back for lunch or even for a simple breakfast, since the very nice ambience is predominant and the food tasted good. Cheap it is not and around noon around it is also quite loud - many moms with kids.
I would definitely recommend you to try the Café Lotti and if it's just for a coffee or a quick snack - you certainly will not go wrong. Maybe not directly at lunchtime. Card payment is possible at Café Lotti. Try it and tell me about your opinion. Public brings you the subway line 1 (Stiglmaierplatz) there. Have fun.
I'll be back: Yes. Even if the service a bit brisk and the food is a bit expensive.
