Miss Lilly's - Recently I was having breakfast with Miss Lilly's with my escort. I was recommended the cafe by a friend - thank you for this nice guy.
The café is located in the Munich suburb of Au and is cozy immediately after entering, looks friendly and very bright. We liked it very much, because it is not yet located in the center of Munich and therefore not so crowded, but you still not far from the city center for a subsequent city tour. From the outside, the restaurant or café is not very inviting and except for a purple sign over the white front door next to the numerous outdoor tables there is not much to see from the outside, but worth a visit anyway.
The café impresses with a massive, bright bar at the center - covered with bright flourishes, a cozy corner to sit and relax with stacked wood in Bavarian style, numerous cushions, massive wooden tables, white leather benches and chairs, stylish lamps on both the very high ceilings Stuccoed ceiling, as well as on the windowsills of the high windows. Overall, an incredibly cozy atmosphere with a very friendly atmosphere. With about 20 tables, the restaurant is not too crowded and although the noise level a bit higher due to the higher ceilings we felt very comfortable.
We decided during our visit for two breakfasts although the Miss Lilly's also offers different, hot daily specials and in addition from 18:30 o'clock an evening menu with interesting dishes. When we entered a friendly gentleman came directly to me, which probably took in the morning on the phone my reservation. (Would I recommend you too!) We were allowed to choose a table and chose a cozy two-table overlooking the entire restaurant, the bar and the above-mentioned sitting area in which two female guests made cozy, cake (from the chic cake counter on opposite end of the restaurant) and coffee tasted liesen.
We got directly after sitting on the double-sided printed DIN A4 menus which consist only of a front and a back. We were given the drinks cards. After some review of the dishes and thinking back and forth, if I should really prefer a breakfast of fried goat cheese with honey, thyme and roasted pine nuts (for 12,90 €) I decided then for breakfast "Miss Lilly's sporty sister "With homemade muesli with yoghurt & fruits, a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice (0.1l), herbal quark, vegetable sticks, jam & honey, and cheese and a boiled free range including bread basket for 11,50 €.
My companion was also on the superior if rather a hot main course (zBWiener schnitzel of veal with fried potatoes and Wildpreislbeeren for 16.90 € or the Tagliatelle Arrabiata with fresh cherry tomatoes for 8.50 €) or even a breakfast on the table should land. It was then decided also for a breakfast, namely three scrambled eggs with three slices of bread and butter for € 4.60 (plus optional ham, tomatoes, cheese, rocket, spring onions or feta cheese for € 0.90 each) and an additional cereal with fruit and milk for 4,80 €.
The two ordered breakfasts came relatively ragged, a couple that at the next table came after us was served before us, but since we had a nice chat and felt comfortable, that was fine. Our server was also extremely friendly and helpful. The two breakfasts also came almost at the same time and were - although they were very simple ingredients - delicious. The herb quark on my "Sporty" breakfast was a bit too much for the three to four veggie sticks, but otherwise there was nothing wrong with it. My egg was cooked very hard, which I do not like very much now, but otherwise it was a delicious and successful breakfast. The scrambled eggs of my companion initially looked a bit sparingly portioned on the plate, but at the end it was just made in combination with the cereal and the very delicious, fresh bread.
Both ordered breakfasts we can recommend you. Above-mentioned couple ordered a hot main course, which looked very deliciously prepared. To drink we chose a coke light and a cappuccino. This was warm and tasty okay. The bread was sufficient, but I also left some cheese over. Otherwise you can order the regular menu and the breakfast menu herelook at. (Do not be confused by the designation February 2014 and September 2013 - the menus are up to date and currently show the assortment available on site.) The breakfasts are priced between € 4.50 and € 15 and thus move for Munich standards thus in a fair Frame. Main dishes such as starters, salads, soups, house specialties and desserts are between € 4.50 and € 18.90 (for about 270g ribeye steak with tomato-coriander chutney, homemade sea salt-herb butter and fried potatoes).
I would recommend to anyone who likes to eat in a cozy and very friendly atmosphere, simple kitchen a visit to Miss Lilly's only. As mentioned, the breakfasts were simple - but delicious. Priced the cafe or restaurant is neither a bargain nor overpriced. We paid for the two breakfasts and drinks mentioned including tips 30 € with the card - which fits in total and by the friendly service and the harmonious atmosphere is perfectly acceptable. Unfortunately, I did not look closely at the cake display case, but from a distance it looked great and the cake of the lady, who took a seat next door in the course of our stay, looked very good. Especially popular is supposedly Miss Lilly's New York Cheesecake, which is available in varying variations. Coffee to go or French butter,
The service was nothing to complain about. We got everything fast, it was asked if we liked it and a service was always in "reach". If you are planning a party, Miss Lilly's will help you with the catering (from 20 to 200 people) or you can even have the party in the premises of the Munich home game - a Café Miss Lilly's matching location). By the way, from Monday to Friday there is a lunch offer in Miss Lilly's for you. (You can check it out on the café's Facebook page.) It's open every day from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm and breakfast is available for late risers until 5:00 pm. I wish you a lot of fun visiting Miss Lilly's - by the way the name of the owner's daughter.
I'll be back: Yes. It does not speak against. The service was friendly. The breakfast was simple, uncomplicated and good. Very cozy atmosphere.
